93 Bronco engine swap

I have a 93 Bronco with a 302. The engine is shot and i have a 95 302 long block assy. that I am having installed. The new engine has the 351 firing order, what do I have to change to make the new engine work in the truck. I have read that I have to change cams, another said to swap distributors, another answer was to change the plug wires to the standard 302 firing order. Does anybody know the real answer from having done this swap. The shop is ready to change the engine but I am not sure of the right way to make it work.

Welcome to FTE and the Big Bronco Forum.

There is no firing order difference between those two engines. The 302 and 351 got the same firing order when Ford went to the EEC-IV computer control. It simplified the electronics to have both engines with the same firing order. The only potential issue you might run into is the possibility that the 95 is set up for mass air. But I am aware of no differences in long blocks between the two. Wait and let someone who knows for certain tell you whether the cams are different. Kemicalburns or PaulO will be your best bet for a correct answer there.
