cold start??

I know this is gonna sound stupid to the majority on here but I have owned my 7.3 Ex for a few weeks now and I am curious of what a cold start is?? I have searched the forum but I cant find the definition. Thanks for the reply

Generally it is referred to a your engine being cold.. been sitting over nite, etc.. Sometimes a cold start can mean freezing weather conditions and then starting your engine.... Welcome to the Forum !

Thanks for the reply, I have not had it long and the diesel thing is new for me. Now I have to figure out which mods I need now (programmer, exhaust, air filter etc....) And get those door actuators and windshield wipers fixed

cold start is just wen your engine is cold and u start it up. like in the winter u goda plug it in if not and it sits overnight its gona be hard to start that morning and itll lope wen you do get it started. as for your mods your best bet is to get cold air intake and exhaust before the programer or chip that way your power from the chip has some where to go and your rig with breath better
