1991 ford f250 4x4 (460)

i waz wondering how would my truck sound because its a gas with a 4' inch stright through exoust and a 6 inch tip

It would sound ok, however 4" is way to large for a 460. The question you need to ask yourself is not how the exhaust will flow at wide open throttle and 8,000 rpm, but rather how it will flow at quarter throttle at 2,000 rpm. If you go to large then the engine will loose its low end performance and fuel economy. A 3" exhaust is more than adequate and will also sound awesome. I seriously doubt a 4" system would be noticably louder or deeper with a 4" versus a 3", and oversized tips look dumb to me.

Actually there is a real obvious sound difference between 3 and 4 in. 4 in will have a hollow sound,but still raw,3 will be a little more raspy.
