Howdy all. Chilly here. 35° on my computer. Looks like maybe almost 60° today. Can't see those little numbers. Okay, cleaned my glasses & squinted. Yep, almost 60° today. Pick up Old Rusty, do this little 3˝ hour field trip, & stop by the " career center " tell them I'm looking for a job so I can get my paper signed & the rest of the day's mine.

Morning Pat. It's foggy as hell here. Should be close to 60 here also. Not that it will matter, I'll be stuck inside all damn day!
Hoping to get a couple mowers done ( that belong to other people ). Glad this guy I work with is an understanding type. Have only had his about 6mos. or so. Next door neighbor bought a new one, so hers isn't a rush either. May be mine, depending on costs to fix. She said " If you can fix it cheap, okay. Otherwise keep the da thing. "

How you doing " other " Pat? Not a happy camper . Got Old Rusty, drove him for about ˝ hour from Tech School to job. Parked him, came back about 6 hours later & he said . Going to try checking / cleaning grounds today. Good juice in battery. new starter. 2 months at Tech School & they never said a word about starting problems. Started fine when I picked him up. Lights don't change when turning key, so I'm saying good juice. See what happens.

Morning Pat. Well that sucks. Does it crank, or is it completely dead?
Nothing, no click, no crank, totally silent. Power in the battery, not changing when I turn the key. Hope it's not that rod through the steering column. Dusty from Mary's Land suggested trying to clean all the grounds. Makes sense, so that's my first order of business. Starter was replaced just prior going to school.

Do you have a remote starter switch? My first thought is the soleniod. You could bypass the solenoid with the remote starter switch , and if it starts, that's your problem. That's the first thing I look at on these trucks if you have power, and it's not cranking. Mainly 'cause it's the easiest thing to get to!

No remote switch. Could try jumping across it. 2 screwdrivers & 1 big post to 1 small one. Still going to clean all the grounds, won't hurt anything. Am going to try to find a picture of the switch at the end of that rod. Supposed to be up under the dash somewhere & maybe play with it too.

Yeah, you can jump across the switch with a couple of screwdrivers also. I just bought the remote switch for bumping the motor over, and it's good for troubleshooting too. I bought mine for like $10 at O'Reilly's.

May do that, cheap price. Seem to remember having one years ago, but my memory lies to me A LOT so I don't trust it. It was two long wires with flat spring loaded clamps on the ends & a push button switch on the other end. Clamp the wires on the posts & push the button. Will check The Zone when I get a chance.

S cubed, ran for a few minutes, shut it off, re-started w/key okay. Went to library & S cubed again. Went to a friends house, shut it off, S cubed again. Took him home & parked. S cubed works till first time it gets cold and/or rains then I'll be . Lazy, was going to clean grounds, still haven't decided if that rod might be broke. Was feeling around looking for the switch it's supposed to move. Couldn't find it.
