Okay, I'll admit it-I am lazy. Would someone let me know what atn stands for, when it is, and where it is? If the trophy is based on numbers, should I sign up the FFOs for an extra 2? I might even be able to get CD to sign up

well the dummy befor me used that orange sealing crap instead of a gasket seen it as soon as it went up on the lift i got home rechecked it had my boy give it some gas and the bolts dont look all that tight its where the trans and transfer case meet so im looking at some labor for thejob and i figure while its there we will do the rear main seal too
there's a paper seal in there, you can split the transfer case, and the trans apart without removeing the trans. clean everything real well, then use permatex form a gasket, not blue glue, or red. they won't work. the form a gasket works fine. I also put axels back in with it, as well as rear covers, and haven't had a problem with it.back seal at the driveshaft should be done at this time too, put a little grease inside the seal to keep it from tearing when 1st drivin until the oil splashes in there.be careful how much you tighten the transfer case when you put it back on, they strip/ break easy. that's what happened to Dave's big bronco when he finally gave up on it, and cut it loose

ok it the trans then bolts into some housing that has the trans mount then transfercase
that piece is called an adapter. there is a paper gasket on both sides where it bolts up. see previous post on how to fix it
