I searched around for a few hours and did not find anything I was looking for. I have a 01 limited 4x4 diesel. The little electric vacuum pump seems to run forever. How long should that pump run to pull a vacuum in the system before it shuts off or is it designed to run continuously? I tried pulling off the line going from the receiver to the 4x4 solenoid and covered it with my finger. The pump noise changed pitched but after 5 or 10 min still did not shut off. Vents appear to be functioning just fine. The shop manuals don't have much info on this system or how the lines are run.
