BW 1356 Transfer case questions

Just removed the E4OD trans/1356 bw transfer case from my 1994 f 350 and installed a 5 speed ZF manual/ 1356 T case. My truck has its OEM auto hubs and the t case I installed was from a 1989 manual hub truck. I'm going to switch the auto hubs over to Mile Marker manual ones, will I have to do anything to the t case? If I decide to use my original t case from the automatic trans, will it bolt up to the ZF that's in my truck now? The reason I ask is, I lost the shifter from the manual trans t case and I don't think the shifters will swap between the two cases. Thanks, Dave
