What size bed is that on your truck? Thinking if I still have my F800 in the spring time. The hauler bed will come off and a dump bed will be put on. Thinking hard about buying a Pellet mill to make our own heating pellets next spring. And will use the truck to haul the sawdust.
We have been covered up by Saw mills with the Amish moving around us. Thinking there running 9 mills within a 10 mile radius of us. So plenty of dust to turn into heating pellets.
Can't make my mind up if I want to just sell the old gal or keep it and turn it into a dump truck. But will leave the sleeper on it if it does turn into a dump truck. Also thinking a flat bed dump with sideboards and tailgate that can be set off with my loader. That way I can also haul pallet items on it also.
I love driving the old gal. Part of me likes it way more then my 2005 Chevy Kodiak with Cummins and allison trans I now use to pull our camper. The Kodiak and so much nicer then the F800. But man the road ranger 10 speed just turns me on. Reminds me of the old truck driving days.
And the Custom Kodiak C5500 with 350 HP 5.9 24 valve cummins RV motor and 6 speed Allison trans.

That is a 10' bed. It is also a bit narrower than many at 7' 6" outside dimensions, so it can fit thru slightly smaller gates than a 8' wide box. Being less wide means the mirrors can stick out less, so I can squeeze in some pretty tight areas.
The truck has 9.00r20's which have a outside dimension not wider than the box, so the whole truck is short and narrow. If it had 10.00 or 11.00 aspect tires with the additional rim width and offset I imagine it would be the full 8' width.
Of course the missing width means that the load has to be humped up higher to get the same amount of material in the box, so it is a tradeoff of sorts.

Thanks Gigger Still enjoy driving the old gal. Now my wife wants to sell it and get it out of the yard. So I priced it at $12,500. But she told me she would take $8999. So it may go on Ebay soon. Happy Wife Happy life....

I'm not sure but thinking the guy told my buddy that he had the title on the truck. It was a 3/4 ton when he bought it. Then he turned it into what it is now. But title showed it was a factory crew cab.
But you know those roumers about only X amount were build for the railroad or some gold mine. HAHA So we will never know. But theres one with the same looking doors online that the guy is telling everyone its from the Railroad and only 8 of them build. And his is the only one left in the USA rest are in Canada. So if its the same one as his, he is bad wrong about his being the only one left in the Good OLd USA.

Here is a Quote from what my buddy that talked with the guy told him.
""i am thinking he told me it was an original 1960 ford 4 door that was built for the air force to run people in and off the run ways they were never made for the public and he found two of them in a military dod yard and bidded on them and got both. he set the cab down on a 98 dodge 3500 frame and went to work on it. he drives it every day so it doesn't set much.""
We ran up on a few older truck's and I think the 1950's came from a Semi that we ran up on in a different town that weekend.

I did not get to talk with him. Buddy of mine talked with him for about 30 minutes. We got to the campgrounds 2 days after he did. And never got to talk to the guy that owned the truck. But it does have Tn tag on it and if I run up on him again will find out all I can.
It has the 98 Dodge 3500 cummins under it I'm sure as the running gear and frame is from a 1998 ram 3500.
