1942/47 and 1948/49 model 75 (same body as 1942/47) use a different hood ornament.

1949 75 uses the 1949 Cadillac models 60/61/62 dash, comes with the new 331 cid OHV V8.

Cadillac models 60/61/62 got an all new body in 1948 (shared with Olds 98), the Cadillac dash is unique to 1948, 1949 dash is different.

i never researched much on cadillacs except my 1941 75 series .. it had the 346 flattie like used in the m1. i sold the engine right after i decided to go with a 6.2 turbo diesel..

i guess we can talk about it on here since i used a 9" differential and some modified f150 spindles and disc's on the knee action frt. suspension.... ha ha ha ha

The 1937/40 LaSalle & 1937/48 Cadillac 346 flatties had a lot of trouble with water pumps. Finding a new pump is almost impossible and the rebuilts usually aren't worth a damn.

Thanks! It's as close to a brand new one as you will ever get. Over an 8 year period, I took the entire thing apart, and rebuilt or replaced every piece.

The first one is a 1987 L8000 with the backwards Brazilian engine and an Eaton 613 transmission. It came into my work to sort out the issue with the front wedge brakes.

I saw the second one at a used car lot o my way home from work. I didn't have much time so I did not go to and ask for details but I know it has a Cummins engine with an Allison trans (3000 series I believe) and air brakes.
