Great pics of the COE Scott, I'll need to save them to file for sure. Any idea on the purpose of the grill / vent on the right side of the cab? Still sporting it's original drivetrain or is it now a mid-engine? Very nice truck, reminds me of the old beer truck... Labatt's?

Ok, here are a few more work trucks.

Here are our Ford trucks that we use on our farm. 1973 L-700 with 360 and 4 speed Alison and 2 speed rear axle.

1971 C-900 with 477 5 speed and and 2 speed rear axle, retired Ward LaFrance fire truck.

1955 F-600 with 256 Y Block 5 speed Overdrive with 2 speed rear axle. This is my favorite of the three.

confirms suspicions

this pic confirms my suspicions as I've dreamt of a 56 crew coe. I've seen a lot of pics, never a truck in person, but the bow of the door skin looks bad. What, other than a re-skin w/ flat metal could amend this? I doubt totally flat would work either. surely would need a little english'd bow to it...

Havi,

Where is the fastback semi-tractor located? From the second shot, I see what looks like a wrecker in front of it.

Yes that is a very nice ford COE. I agree, the profile looks alot like the labatts streamliners that utilized a White COE if I remember correctly. Awesome looking truck for sure!

Yes, it's not a Ford... but to show the similarities F6Guy and I are talking about for those not familiar with, here are a couple pics I found on-line. It is based on a White from the mid to late 30's; 1st from Hanks Truck Pictures, 2nd from Classic Guild Cars out of Bradford Ontario:

This is my 1964 C-1000 when it went into service in 1965. It is currently being restored to this condition. A long way to go....

I took this photo at a car show in Orange County, California. The door skin was perfect, must be a flaw from the photo I took.
