Here's another hard working Louisville. Bought new in '88 by a New York based grocery chain it spent it's first life hauling foodstuffs on the upper east coast. In the late 90's it was one of several matched units purchased by a local scrap dealer at an auction.
The short wheel base and fairly heavy specs made these units ideal for hauling crushed cars. Now assigned to a road crew it pulls a crusher from yard to yard. Battered, battle scarred and suffering the effects of north east winters and the often brutal conditions it operates in this old Ford is nearing the end of it's useful life.

No picture.
There is a restoration business in IRVING TX that restores vehicles for the movie industry on anyone else with the $$. Last time I was there they had around a 36 Ford Linehaul tractor. Cabover powered by a flathead V8. Tandem RE. 2 transmissions. All mechanical believe even the brakes!!!!!!!. No insulation just sheet metal floor over the flathead.
Really nice vehicle. They also had a London diesel Cab and were starting on a 36 Packard. Now I kow where the industry gets old vehicles for scenes.
Some old body guys over there spend years on some of the projects. They made the front fenders and other sheet metal in the Ford from pictures. They also overhaul their own engines and trannys.
You nevert know when you will need a camera!
