How long does your "Wait To Start" light stay on for?

either you have a faulty glow plug system or you are getting air into the fuel system

Should stay on for at least 8-10 seconds. Sounds like you have a couple of bad glow plugs.

If you need to use a "starter fluid", you can use highly flammable brake cleaner. That's what I use if worse comes to worse. That or you can rag it. That's where you put some gas on a rag and put the rag over the intake. That works to.

i was looking up the cost of getting some Motorcraft glow plugs and the ones i found at auto zone where around 15 bucks a pop and i would like to replace all 8 of them but would not like to spend 120 bucks after i just poped 200 for a new starter 2 days ago. is there any place where i can get them cheaper
rockauto.com has them for around 11 bucks so far thats the cheapest that i have found

The burnt out glow plugs are why you had to replace the starter.

Autozone discontinued Motorcraft/Beru glow plugs a couple years ago, but they are the only ones you should install.

Motorcraft/Beru ZD 9 is the correct glow plug for the 92 engine.
