I'm guessing you were somewhere around 14K to 17K lbs with just the trailer (trailer at 4500 lbs since it appears to be a powered tilt deck, 1K lbs a bale if the person running the tractor knew what he was doing and it was dry). I must say that, aside from back loading the trailer the truck has very little squat for the load.

I pulled 9 bales on a similar trailer w/ our 07 expedition EL 4x4. It got going no problem but even with good trailer brakes it took a good bit of brake power to slow the load.

Hope the trailer brakes worked.

the trailer and truck were awesome!! i have to say that the way these trailer brakes work i had to set the gain quite a bit higher than i thought because of the way they come on, but all in all it was fine. (it was a power tilt deck, although it didnt work like i planned and still had to push the bales off by hand)

I would say less then 14K - 17K as those bales are grass hay and loose. I would give them about 600 lbs each if dryer plus trailer about 10K-11K down the road. Still these 2009 F-150 pull the weight just as good as any F-250 gasser does. Between the electronics and new frame, it works to give you that little extra. Chris

i agree they look loose but wet. I'm not expert on those loose bales. I agree that the Supercrew 6.5' bed will handle much better simply based on wheelbase and stability.
