Well my project starts out with a 1969 ford F100 farm and ranch special that i'm turning into a pro street truck it came with a 390 and a 4 speed granny tranny.I'm dropping a 360 in and a C-6 tranny i'm running a 9" rearend with a set of 26x11.5x15 hoosiers.I dropped the truck 7 inches in the back and 6 inches in the front. The front clip (Hood,Fenders, and grille)all come off in one peice.Well it is a start for me i guess i'm hoping to get it finished soon and get some pics of it in.
Well I'm taking the 390 out of the truck and putting a 360 back in the 360 is suppose to be putting out 400-425 horses and the 390 was nothin but stock the.I keep getting chewed out because i went down on my size of motors and 360 is not the best of ford motors.
Yes Jack Bowker is still in ponca and getting larger.
If that 360 is a built motor take the flack and then shut them up when you get it all back together. the 360 is no slouch. it is mearliy a destroked 390. If it is pt together right is will really make some go fast HP. Have fun with your project.
Hello,
Well i think the motor is put together right but at the same time i'm not sure i still have to go through some of it and see what needs to be cleaned and what needs to be replaced on it but i know i will have alot of go fast power and like the saying says F=first O=on R=race D=day and that i will be i don't care what anyone says about me show boating i'll tell ya what i have it so i'm gonna show it i hope to have the cab off the frame before the end of this week like tonight hopefully 9-25-02 and i hope to have the frame done by saturday and the body ready to go back on it so that way i can drop my motor in it and finaly get to hear it run for the first time.i found out that i have a nodular 9" rear so my uncle said i can't get any better on rear ends well i guess it is enough for now i'll get back with you tomorrow or sometime with updates thanks for all the questions and answers.hope to hear from you guys soon too
