Brake Controller Wiring Access??

I have an 09 with flow through console, does anyone have a trick or two to access the factory brake controller plug, behind the delete bin. The Ford directions have me removing the entire console and associated trim pieces. Seems a bit extreme, gotts be another way? Ideas?

I would remove the cluster bezel and see if you can't just pull the trim piece off. The coin holder is held in with 2 7mm screws and the trailer brake controller plug is clipped into the back of it.

Even though the service manual shows a screw at the bottom of that trim piece that is behind the console I don't ever remember seeing that screw.

Quite the job, had to remove the console and most of the trim pieces have a screw or two in them. Factory directions were ok, got me through the job. All that to unclip the plug? Dont know whos bright idea that was!
