zf speedo cable

so, got a few questions about the 5 speed zf from a 1991 f250(5.8L)
first off, i can't seem to find the speedo cable attachment on the t-case.(i'm assuming it's on the t-case) I've got a 1356 manual shift borg warner.

Secondly i'm wondering if you can use the stock speedo cable with a aftermarket gauge from say autometer. The reason i ask is cause i'm putting a 4bt cummins with a zf in my ranger. i'm just planning on getting all new gauges.

also if all this works out i'm gonna need some gears for the speedo set up because i'm running 31's. where can you get these?

lastly, what is the length of the shift lever on the t-case(1356). i've got the whole linkage except the lever that bolts to the t-case. I'm just gonna fab my own instead of going to the trouble of driving all over the place to find a little peice of steel....

thanks for any help you can offer
