Fitch Fuel Catalyst

I done the search on this with a couple of threads that are incomplete with results and nothing else. Has anyone used this yet and if so how is it working? Are you getting better mileage? They claim you should get 1 to 2 mpg more. Just wondering. Thanks

Diesel Power Magazine just installed on on a 6.0 but had to remove it before the test was done because of some of the normal 6.0 issues. They reinstalled it and are going to test it out. As far as I can remember none of us has tried it out. Isn't it generally used on gassers?

Dieel power Nov 2009 did a write up on putting it on a 6.7. They were getting 1.5 mpg after resetting the computer. They were going to take the Fitch system off to see if the numbers dropped or if they stayed the same but the SES light came on and they had to take it to the dealer. They did state that the SES was not caused from the Fitch system though. Hopefully they will be able to test it again and get good numbers before the next issue.

They say that they can be used on diesels to. Just wondering. Looking for anything that helps with mileage.

Your right Jody my mistake it was 6.7. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm curious now also.

We put one on friend's '08 6.4 PSD. Was a waste of money and time. I don't like to bash products, but he didn't experience any gains from it. I would recommend to steer clear of them.

Roland, do you think that all the new epa crud on his 08 had something to do with him having no gains. It would be interesting to here if anyone with a 7.3 had seen any gain. Just curious since the two engines are different in a quite a few ways.

I let him be the guinea pig. He has more $$$ to blow than I do. LOL If it would have seen any significant results, I would have tried it myself. I don't know anyone else who have tried it and 'fess up to it.

FFC is a scam.

Here is the results of U.S. Army testing. Basically, the FFC did not live up to its claims: http://www.nlcpr.com/TARDEC_1.pdf

What's funny is that FFC claims the military uses it. Problem is, the military found out it doesn't work.

Actually, if anyone is ever considering "fuel saving devices", they should read this article: Fuel saving gadgets - a professional engineer's view

And, here is some more reading about the FFC: Fuel saving gadgets - a professional engineer's view

And more testing of the FFC: NRMA warning on fuel saving device - NRMA Motoring & Services

ztodd377 is starting off with a positive reputation.
I agree that it's a waste of money. I've used (and since removed) the FFC on my 7.3 and also used the drop-in pellets in my 06 Kingquad. I did not notice any difference in fuel economy what so ever. I feel stupid for ever buying that thing.

I hear it works on our diesels if you put it on in combo with a throttle body spacer.
