After just the few mods on mine the milage remains the same as stock. I just cant stop pushing on the go pedal. I love watching the smoke out the back. Must be part of the mid-life crisis.

I drove a stock truck two days ago and I forgot how slow they are like that.

stock truck, more pedal push to get it going. With my mods I hardly have to touch the trottle and I'm going. The chip is what really helped me.

I got my best mileage 2 years ago when I first got my '97 cc 4x4. It was bone stock and I averaged 21 mpg mixed city and freeway. This was over the course of 4 months of logging mileage.
I believe this was the same time the ULSD came in place and my mileage is a best now of 18 mpg. Only changes I made to the truck was D60 front end (no real affect on anything other than truck sits about 2" higher), new BFG AT tires, Stage-1 and a chip.
I have been told by many that just the tires and raise of the truck will drop mileage that much, but I have my doubts. Less tire to the road would get some better mileage, but I know of dually trucks that get the same as me so I can't see that as an issue.

I think it kinda depends on the truck. Some trucks get 24mpg top, some get 17 top. Depends on where you are, what elevation, climate, hills or flat... who's driving it. And just the truck itself.
