Any benefit to bypassing the glowplug controller?

Ha, ya can't not watch something on ebay. Somebody almost always comes in and bids in the last 2 minutes or less.

I have bypassed the power to the relay with a momentary contact switch. 2 benifits. 1) No chance relay will stick burning up glow plugs and draining batteries. 2) Theft deterrent, if you don't know how to push in the contact switch, you won't be starting or stealing my truck (But who would want to?).
