I have a 2008 F350 with a DPF delete, cold air intake and Edge race tuner. I was just wondering if I should be concerned about no smoke? There is no black or white smoke, even under load.
As long as it pulls healthily, I wouldn't be concerned.
Having spent the last 20 yrs driving Peterbilt's and CATs, I sure am pleased with how we've caught up the european diesels----no more rattle, smell and lung busting smoke....yet more power.
Usually the black smoke you see is because of a richer burn. Even with tuning to increase the amount of fuel being injected, these turbos have no trouble keeping up with the air requirement, to a certain point.
