Got a guy with austrailan heads wants 4v manifolds.

Never been around the austrailian head before but learned you can install 4vmanifolds on them compared to ford2v manifolds. The exhaust casting is different more metal on exhaust. He's wanting to have manfolds compared to headers in ford 4wd 1979 f250. Looks good on pass side but the driver side is different. never done a 4v manifold before so curious to any input on this subject. 400 ford 2v austrailan quench heads with 4v exhaust manifolds 4wd truck. He's gonna pull manifold this weekend and compare, keep you updated on project.

yup, around the watercooler they say US 4V exhaust will seal on AUS 2V heads, the casting is different and there is material there to seal it. 4V manifolds will provide a little more volume but why not just go to proper 2V headers?

manifold stuff.

Manifolds fit but the driver side was pointed in a odd direction. Now looking for headers. This gentleman feels header are a pain in the but to deal with. I know this statement to be partially true. Know of several headers but which is best. In big block world its L and L or banks from my experience in 4wd application. Ran several others but had some issues. This guy wants a truck that he just drives and don't want to be messing with all the time. Simple and reliable.
