Level/Lift

I would like to lift my 08 SD about 2 inches nothing real radical, still want to get it in the garage. I have seen mention of a leveling kit which I had done on an 05 F150 but I dont understand a leveling kit for the 250 since it looks level to me now. Has anyone done the leveling kit and is there a 2 inch lift available?

i just lifted my front end and it makes a difference for how level it looks on a flat surface. if you go this route just make sure you do not over extend your front brake lines.

I recently installed a 2" leveling kit made by Ready Lift. The install is very easy and it takes the rake angle out of the front end completely. It allowed me to fit 35" tires with no rubbing and gave the truck a great look.

I installed a 2" levelling kit on the front of mine, and now the front sits higher than the rear.

I just bought 2 1/2" spacers for my 09 350, I hope it is level and not nose up.

I heard that it is a good idea to buy shocks with increased travel. I have the FX4 package so would the 9000 series of Ranch shocks be the right ones?

Hi, did a Rancho leveling kit on my 08 F250 but then the rear was lower so had to add a spring in the rear to make it level. Now the truck is level and looks good. I plow with the truck (boss v plow) and with the leveling kit, the front end doesn't move when i lift the plow.

Thanks, Candyman. That is what I thought would happen if I installed the leveling kit up front only. Do you mind telling how much the whole job cost you?

When you level f-250's they have a wheelie look, when you level F-350's they sit exactly level. The reaon is the rear suspension, the 250 and 350 have the same front suspension, but the 350 has a beefier spring pack in the rear giving it a larger rake. The solution for the 250 is to use 350 blocks.

I'm only finding a 2.5 " by ready lift.
I thought you had 2" by them.

I was researching as my 2.5" lift spacers arrived today. If I want to keep the 'rancho' look the best price for a 9000 series shock was 80 plus the shipping game (some higher than others) this was for a 2.5" lift according to the online catalog that I was viewing. Are any other shocks better for the price? I do not have to stick with rancho only the best within 10-15 dollars of that price.

thanks

The ready lift might be 2.5" i cant really remember. It is the package they sell. Its spacers for the shock towers in the front and blocks for the rear. I didn't use the blocks cause the f-350 dosent need them, but the 250 does. The reason why this kit was imo the best was its construction of steel. Most other level kits are urethane bushings.
