I got an edge the other day for my 04 4.6 I am very very please with the difference in my truck. Im running level 2 without any other adjustments yet. I have seen when customizing the tune that you can adjust the Torque lock and the downshift.
Whats the difference in Torque converter lock and unlock and overdrive lock and unlock (if thats how you refer to it)? And what would i have to adjust for my scenerio below.
I very pleased with the improvement of the truck with the edge. What happens is that when i cruisin along on flat road and i get to a decent hill, i start up the hill and i slowly loose momentum and RPMs. It takes a long time for the truck to kick down a gear, or converter unlock. Not sure which is happening. and give me the power to get up the hill. When the power does kick in, its a real kick in the pants. Also i have experimented with hitting the OD off button while its dogging up the hill and it instantly gives me the power to get up the hill. Or if i really push the gas pedal it will kick down or unlock something to give me the power to get up the hill.
So those of you that have extensively played with the edge, what should i adjust and which way to get the truck to quickly kick in to get me up a hill when its dogging?
Im not real familiar with all the torque lock and unlock and OD on and off stuff. So please fill me in. Thanks!
