Anyone in the Ohio chapter living in the Cleveland area with an older Ford truck? I have a '75 F-250 High Boy that I am working on. I'd love to meet others who have gone through the same process already. I'm always looking for parts, etc.

Also, how do I become a member of the Ohio club?

Thanks.

Big Red 75, I'm ranger99 and was the Ohio Chapter moderator. But, my wife got transfered to North Carolina so I came too. To become a member just have an interest in the Blue Oval you're in. I lived in the Akron area, not many Ford truck lovers in Akron. There are a couple of guys in Medina and Brunswick that might be able to help. You will probably have to check the other forums to find out who they may be. I just can't remember who they are right off the top of my head.

Hi Big Red,
I live in Brunswick and I'm alwaws working on one ford or another. Currently I own 3 1985 F-Series trucks. My brother has a 1978 F-250 that he has been restoring very slowly for years now (so slowly that his wife served him with divorce papers this week). My one truck is sitting at a warehouse on W.65. Is that anywhere in your neighborhood? What kind of parts are you looking for?

Later!

I live in Streetsboro. I've been restoring my '75 off and on for the last few years, and I sure hope I don't get the divorce papers anytime soon! Anyway, I'm not looking for any specific parts right now, but you never know what I'll need next week! I looked for a new Z-bar assembly (clutch linkage) for a month or so, and I finally gave up. I'm building a new one instead. That's how it goes with these things - it seems like it's not old enough to have the reproduction parts and not new enough for part stores to carry inventories.

I guess that's part of the fun of having a Ford - most people are too lazy to find the parts, so they drive Chevys. Then, we get to whip up on 'em!

Hey BIG RED, your practiculy in my back yard. I live in HIRAM. My love for those 73-79 trucks has forced me into a somewhat sizeable collection. You see it started with my first truck, a 73 f-250 4x4 and its been down hill ever since. I usually go to the Randolph swap meet and sell there. Feel free to give me a line if you need something, if I dont have it I certainly will help find it. ED

ED,

Seeing as your into 73-79's and I need some upgrade parts for my 69, I would like to talk to you about your collection. I am looking for boosted dics brakes and power steering. Getting scary with none boosted drums and a leaky master.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-Oct-02 AT 05:31 PM (EST)]Ezra,
Were you in TVTC many, many years ago? I ran some of your rallyes in the late 70s and put on a few for Rubber City Sports Car Club. I'm with Akron Sports Car Club now, but no rallye program to speak of. My truck is a 96, so I can't help you on that end of things.
