6.0 Oil Temp

Can anyone tell me what the normal Oil Temp should be on a 2004 6.0. I think this is an early 6.0.
Thank for any input.

texans is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
It should run pretty close to the ect. Around 190 or so.

oil temp shouldnt vary more than 15 degrees from the water temp. on the higher end. if it continues to climb the more you drive it. you have a plugged oil cooler on the coolant side.

Thanks for the replies, I figured that was the case but wanted to be sure. It's running up to 230 and the water is around 190. I just had the Hi pressure pump replaced last week and got hosed by the shop. Now I was on the road and it just lost all power, like no turbo at all. I took it back to the shop that repaired it and they said you need a new cooler with an est. of 2k to do it. I love my truck, but I just drop 5k in a month and now this....

If you want a different shop and you don't mind driving down to Mission Viejo I'd recommend Bud at OC Diesel Shop: OC Diesel Shop - Home of Bud

Excellent tech, and a great guy to work with.

Thanks, I just sent him a e mail. It's really hard to find good honest shops anymore. I have a few other thing I want to do, I just been waiting to find the right shop I can trust. Again, Thanks
