M.L.S.C. is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Is it stuck to the engine adapter plate? Or it's loose, but you just can't wiggle it out of there?

You must have the long and skinny Mitsubishi starter.

Does it look like this?

And your trouble is the cross member is right in the way.

You need to turn the starter just a little at a time, when you get it in exactly the right place it will drop right out.

Try to pay close attention to how it is turned when it comes out, that is how it has to go back in.

I just swapped mine this summer, if I remember right turn the solenoid on top away from the motor just a little.

archangel is new and has a neutral reputation at this point.
I don't see why that engineer did not put that hard to reach bolt in from the back side where we can reach it!

Last time I pulled the starter, I decided that next time the starter had to come out, I would drill it out, tap it myself and get the correct replacement bolt to correct the issue.

Verified 19 mpg city taking off slow as hell the shutting down at red lights, and with the radiator grill blocked flush, no bed cover, "drag shoot" mirrors on I get 24 mpg at 50 to 55 mph on the freeway empty!
However, with a bed cover, no mirrors and Hydroxy
