Super Duty 2000 Ford F250 7.3 4x4 Crew Cab
Would anyone be able to offer any information as to why the overdrive light is flashing on the shifter ?

Vehicle speed sensor is kapot. If you look on top of the rear differential, you'll see a wired attached to a sensor. Disconnect the wire, remove the old sensor, replace with a new one, reconnect wires, and be on your way.

Thank you for your reply. To add a little more info the truck doesn't go into overdrive currently. I did take it to a transmission place to have it checked out and they are telling me it's the computer. Does this have any bearing on your answer ?

Might want to post this down in the 7.3 section, you will get better responses. I don't know myself but ask down there.
