hey guys. i have a 1964 ford f100 with a 292 and I am looking at options for the dipstick. do any of you know the dipstick tube diameter where it slides into the pan or block. the y-block dipstick tube and the block end is .540".If the 302 dipstick tube is roughly the same diamter, then I can go to lokar and get one of their fancy engine dipstick tube assemblies.
The outside diameter of the 302 dipstick tube is .375" along its entire length except for a bulge close to its bottom which serves as a stop when the tube is pressed into the timing cover.
