Transmission problem

Hi all, I've got an 05 Ford f-150 with a 5.4 and an auto tranny, The truck has over a hundred and four thousand miles on it and the problem is when the truck is in 4th over drive at a low rpm and as you either start an incline or are in traffic and give it a bit of gas the tranny starts to buck when you give it more gas to down shift or switch the overdrive off it 's fine when it upshifts. I spoke with a freind who told me it was the 3-4 clutch discs slipping and to add lucas trans fix which I did. And of course it did not help. now he is saying it may be one of two solenoids in the tranny or it needs a rebuild. Has anyone had this problem or give me some advice on what to do. Of course when I brought it to the shop I could not get it to happen and now it's getting worse and it's tough for me to take the truck off the road since I use it for work. Thanks

Welcome to the site, Conford. I see no one else has responded to this. I haven't had any problem with my '07 but it's only got 17.9K on it. I would bite the bullit and take it to a transmission shop or a stealership. Pucker up, it will cost some bucks. Sorry.
