Maybe so. He said a friend tried it out and it was just like he said it would be.
However, if I do the 302 I want aluminum heads, mild cam, aluminum intake, 4bbl edelbrock carb, headers.

You can pick up used aluminum heads if time is not a factor from the mustang guys for usually about $450-700 depending on the brand condition etc. They just don't pop up all the time. If you want to go with a Windsor the stroked 351 is one helluva good time, with aluminum heads a good intake and carb, as well as a nasty cam you could easily have 400 ponies and gobs of torque.

I second that! in my 79 150 i have a 73 390 with gt heads and intake. it is a sick motor in these trucks. no overdrive with my np435 but it will spin 35 bfg muds pretty good and screams all the way through rpm range
