header won't seal up

i bought a set of headers at the local swap meet two years ago for my 390 worked great at the start now i can not get them to seal up at the heads they leak on all the tubes triied cutting the flanges and that only fixed a couple places any other suggestions

Unfortunately, as you're finding, not all FE heads have the exhaust (or intake) ports in the same place- some exhausts are high, some are low- seems like you have a mismatch between your heads and headers. If you pull out your gaskets, you'll probably be able to see a mismatch in the imprinted pattern in the gaskets

The stock gaskets are much larger than the ports, and won't match the headers. I had the same problem with stock gaskets. Needed to use the 330 gaskets in the same head set, and open up the holes.
