Tint

I have a regular cab with faded tint that I want to get re done. I can't come to a decision for percents... Legal here is 28 front 15 back.

Anyone with a regular cab post your pics and percents! Any input or opinions appreciated.

I'm thinking 15 or 5 back, 15-30 up front. Really can't decide.

Mine is 28 on the sides and 15 on the back. You can check my garage pics for a better view.

That looks real sharp redwood. From most angles the 28 still looks pretty dark. If I was to do 5 on the back with 28 it would look even darker. I would like to go all black but I think 15 on sides is as low as I would do.

In Mississippi, we have to have an inspection sticker and a separate sticker for tint, and the tint has to be tested every year for light transmission. 28 on the sides is the maximum. The rest doesn't have a limit. If it goes darker than 28 on those side doors, though, they'll make you peel it off. There have been road side checks where people couldn't leave until it was peeled off.....

That's not the case here, they don't care at all.

I am thinking 28 side with 5 back. Sides would still look pretty dark with 5 back. Your sides look good in the pics. Thanks for the replies.

Plus, they used to change the percent at will. What was legal one year is not the next.
I had my truck inspected at the local state trooper headquarters a few years back and it passed then the next year, it failed because they had changed the ratings. I had to pull the tint off to pass state inspection.
I was told the state didn't issue a separate sticker anymore and they must not because every roadblock I have been through, nothing is said about it.

I let well enough alone. No more tint for me!

I COULD NEVER UNDERSTAND WHT POLICE CAN HAVE THE BLACKED OUT WINDOWNS BUT WE CANT.(i wasnt yelling) my truck is blacked out but it cost me a few extra bucks at the inspection station every year.you rig cant be searched without probibable cause ao what the big deal if they cant look in. everyone always says so you cant pull a gun or weapon out when you get stoped but if they are dumb enough to do that in the first place i dont think tint would stop them.

The idea for nit picking the side tint is it allows the officer to see you so you don't get the drop on them if you have ill will in mind...
