Ok, I let my brother take my truck and his family on a long 3 week travel trailer vacation. He is pulling a 7k trailer with it. Its a 95 powerstroke 5 speed 4x4 4.10 gears. Its all stock except for the resistor mod and cat delete. Well he is about 1000 miles from me, and it starts dumping oil out of the back of the motor somewhere. I know there are plugs on the back of the cylinders, but he doesnt think it is from that. What else can cause this? Any help and fast would be great. Thanks
Oh it just rolled over 200k on the odometer. Other than that it seems to run great. Although he said it has a bad vibration obove 2500 in third and fourth gears pulling grades. What kind of rpm can that motor take for pulling grades?
Ny guess would be the HPOP leaking. It's the most common thing I"ve ever seen go. It is in the front but drains down the back of the engine and really messy when it does go.

Even though you mentioned it already I would double check the high pressure galley plug in the back of the head. The passenger side is the easy one to reach, all you have to do is pull off the DP and stick a 1/2" ratchet on it. when they go they leak like a siv, i.e. I lost a gallon on a 100 mile trip. I would also check the valve cover in the back to make sure that that is sealed up nice and tight. And while checking the galley plug check to see if it the turbo pedistal.
Yep that's what it was. He got a new plug from a near by ford dealer and changed it out this morning. So far so good. Took a sec to get the truck restarted though. Thats probably the most common leak cause of the down pipe right there cooking the orings.

Never heard of that before. I stuffed a 3 1/2 down my firewall and now I'm wondering about that plug's oring. Foxracing, was your orings cooked?

Nah, they actually had a problem with a specific run of the o-rings on some of the plugs and they blow out. Mine was torn into three pieces when I got mine out. So far I haven't had any issues with the drivers side head cuz that one is a PITA so I've heard.
