I'm in the process of fixing my up my 1977.5 F-150. When I bought it the sill plates and the rubber floor mat were both missing. I ordered a new rubber mat and figured it would be no big deal to find sill plates at a junk yard, I even have a parts truck and my uncle has a few that I looked at as well. The 73-79 Fords are getting hard to find in junk yards around here and when I do find them the sill plates are corroded away, as are the ones on my parts truck and my uncles trucks. So it looks like I'll be buying new. There goes some more money! I did a search on this but did not find the info I was looking for.
My first choice is going to be Fords parts, unless they are crazy expensive. Anyone know the part numbers or if they are still obtainable?
I've been looking at aftermarket and they look good in the pics but does anyone have experience with them? Pricing for aftermarket is all over the place. I've seen them as high as $120 per pair. LMC has them for $60 a pair which is a little more like it, but I was hoping to find a nice used set at a junk yard for next to nothing but it doesnt look like that is going to work out.

Dennis Carpenter may have some. They will clearly state whether the part is original tooling or imported. They are the only company to repop Ford pieces using Ford's original tooling from way back when.
Try Mikes truck parts he as a sponsor on here I haven't seen his tab latley he collects up used trucks and parts them out good guy has even sent me to his competitors when he didn't have what I needed. I got two sets at the house not perfect but usable not home so I can't help u there.
I got a set from LMC back in the spring. I have yet to put them on, but they will be thrust into service her with in the next month. They come with the needed screws, and I think they are as good of quality as the original ones on the truck.
I cannot tell any difference in thickness, quality, or design.
