Removing Rear Headrest

2010 Lariat Supercab 4x4.

I want to remove the rear headrests. Do you need to remove the rear seat back to do that, or if you push them up enough will they compress against the roof and come out?

If you have to remove the rear seat back, how easy is that?

Thanks in advance

I drive an '09 super crew so I'm not exactly sure yours is the same. However, I take those headrests out fairly often with moving car seats in and out for the kids. It is easier to get the headrest off if you tilt the seats up. It raises the back of the seat a bit but it also tilts it forward so there is more room against headliner to get the headrest out.

I hope this works for you, taking the seats out would suck!

I have a 2010 f150 super cab. The dealer showed me how to get the rear seat back out . If you will pull out on the lower corners of the seat back, you will se a flat spring, push it, it will release the seat back so you can get it out. Then, and only then, can you remove the head rests.
