TheImperial is starting off with a positive reputation.
Beaverton / SW Portland Mechanics?

I'm needing to get some work done on my truck (clutch/trans) and this is the first time I'll be having any serious stuff done since moving to the Northwest three years ago.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable mechanic on the west side? I live in SW Portland, so that neck of the woods along with Beaverton and Tigard would be great.

Thanks!

First, welcome to FTE, and the Oregon Chapter. I cannot help you with a shop in your area because I'm 150 miles east of Portland, BUT your best bet is to call Transmission Exchange in Portland. I've been buying quality tranny parts, and rebuilt trannys from them for over 40 years. They are a great company to work with and could steer you to a local shop that they work with. If you would like to join the Oregon Chapter just click on the link at the top of the forum, follow the instructions, and I'll approve you.

Once again welcome to FTE!

I know a excellent shop down here, but that does not help you much up there. I would go with Don's suggestion, if anyone would know, Don's the man! Welcome to the chapter!
