Question Fall/Winter truck projects

Anyone have any fall or winter truck projects lined up? I have none, other than driving my truck once in a while hauling more building materials...

I believe Rick is working on another Bronco. Anyone else have any plans?

For me nothing major planned for my truck, I might replace my stereo head unit and hopefully repaint my rear spoiler!!!!

I'm scrambling to get everything into storage. The Falcon will go into my moms garage, after I clean out the mess and make room.
I bought one of those portable garages from Princess Auto for the Super Cab but I haven't put it up yet because it won't fit where I had planned on putting it. I'm working on a spot. Worst case it will go to my brothers place but it's a bit of drive so I 'd rather keep it closer to home.
The '47 is still at the bottom of the drive under a tarp but the tarp ripped so I need to get that fixed or replaced.
The '48 is washed and under a cover in the garage so that one's done.
The '76 sat since I bought the Supercab so I need to spend sometime getting it ready for the winter as it will be my daily ride. I just replaced pivot and radius arm bushing, king pins(again!) and installed a 3.50 posi. Not sure how the posi will be for the winter driving I'll have to get used to it. New gear ratio seems much better(was 3.0) on the brief drive I took. Now the master cylinder is leaking so I'll get that done and some hack body work before getting it rust checked.
And all this will be done before the first snow,....I'm tired just thinking about it.
Over the winter I'd like to tear down the 300 I6 and check out the codition of the internals. Replace whatever is worn, if it needs a complete rebuild I'll send it out.
I won't try installing I6 into the Supercab until the better weather hits because the supercab won't fit in the garage, not so that you can actually work on it ,...or close the door for that matter.

No work planned.

Actually I have no work planned, that may change as winter rolls on.

If it's possible I may carry the 205 I got out of the scrap Bronco this summer down the basement and dismantle it fix any problems and then paint and put back together

I've been knocked down for the last two and a half days with some kinda cold flu thing, I'm just starting to feel better tonight.

Hopefully I'm good to go to work tomorrow as I'm starting to get a build up of work and seeing as I can only be in one place at one time that can get a little stressful.

BTW, Frank I need to get my Bronco rust checked as well, who do you use?

TIA.

Rick.

I was using Rust Check for years but they closed down. I have since used crown but I liked the Rust Check product better. No reason just have a feeling it did a better job and the shop I was using seemed to be more thorough.

I get my Krowned once in a while. Mostly because my uncle & cousins run a Krown outlet, and I get mine done for free.

Talking Just found some nerfbars.

100 bucks, not too shabby at all.

So I don't know if it qualifies as a winter project or not but they will be going on soon as I can.

Of course they are not made for a 79 Bronco so I'll have to make up some brackets but end of the day if I can have some nice nerf bars to get in and out of the Bronco I'm a happy camper.

Rick.
