'69 F-250 Dash lights not working?

Any ideas on why the dash lights would not be working? Ive checked the obvious-fuse is O.k..
I know my next step is get down there with a test light/meter, but after looking under the dash, i decided to get some hints from some of the guys who know what their doing. I guess its possible that all of the bulbs are out, but you would think that at least 1 good bulb would confirm that.

Have you pulled the light switch out and rotated it? It has a bright to dim to off feature built in.

1968/72 F100/350: There are TWO different headlamp switches, they do not interchange!

I hope the spares you have match the switch in your truck, otherwise....

Seems like to Me the resistor spring for the dimmer is probably broken in the switch.
