Blower fan making noise

I have a 07 XLT SCAB with a manual A/C. The blower fan is making some ticking noise and it speeds up when I increase the fan speed. I notice this noise about 6 months ago and it is getting lounder now.

I think it could be the bearing / bushing is gone or some dirt get caught with the fan blade. Anyone has similar problem? Is it a big job to get to the blower for inspection or replacement?

Thanks.

I have the same issue. 07 XLT SCREW with manual A/C. Just an annoyance at this point, but wouldn't mind tackling it on my own.

Ditto. I only notice mine on 1 so far. It will have to get a lot worse before I tackle it. Or would anyone know if that would be covered under warranty.

Mine was started from fan position 1 in the beginning and now it is getting louder and lounder. It can be heard at position 3 when the radio is off. My bumper to bumper warranty is going to run out in few months but I would like to tackle it on my own. I normally don't have good experience with the dealers.

If anyone post the procedures for taking apart the heater / AC unit would be helful.

Thanks.
