I converted my ebpv to an exaust brake on my truck which works very well thanks to your guys help on here but I just scanned for codes and now ever scince I installed the exaust brake I am getting a code p0475 which I think is the code for a ebpv malfunction but I was wondering if that is a common thing that happens when using your ebpv as a exhaust brake?

 

Than is what mine has now that I have changed out the EBPV so I think its normal

That's the same code you get when you delete it. Does the the exhaust brake conversion remove control of it from the PCM? If the stock connector is removed, you can put a 470 ohm 1W resistor across it to get rid of that code. If not, I'm not sure why you'd get the code if the connector is plugged in.

 

Well the codes not a big deal anyways I deleted it we will see if it comes back in time but it is not suppost to take away control from the pcm but im wondering may be if I screwed up my pcm because when I first installed my exhaust brake I forgot to install the diode then after I realized I forgot to put it in there I put one in it never did anything differently and my truck seems to run so I hope its ok
