97 f350 not starting

The problem is when go and start the truck just turns over. The glow plug light dose not come on. Has fuel pressure and all. Hooked up to the OBD2 to try and read codes and it says can not comunicate with truck. Changed out the glow plug realy and fuse the 2 wirring harneses for the glow plugs under the valve covers and still nothing. Does any one out there have any thing that can get me running again please.

Check fuse #22 & #9 IIRC the numbers. Have you changed out your camshaft sensor? Does your tach move when your turning it over?

95_Dually is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
What mods if any have been done? When did this first happen? How was it running prior to the no start?

This is a 7.3 i am posting it for a friend. The truck has no mods was running fine . Was using it on a day that it rained got home stopped the truck and then went to start it later and nothing. I dont know much about the 7.3 as you know i own a 6.0. But any help would be great.

Definitely check those fuse #'s oldbird gave you. Not being able to communicate with the truck,If it's the right scanner, could be the PCM has no power. If i remember correctly the fuel heater and pcm are on the same fuse and the heater shorts out sometimes. It's one of those #'s. Don't know what the other one is though.

funny you said it rained, check the PCM onthe driver side fender, unbolt it and listen for sloshing, the seals go and leak in water intern not firing the injectors.

The unit inside the driver's side fender is the IDM (injector driver module). The PCM is inside the kick panel on the driver's side. Definitly check fuse#22 as stated earlier. Do you get a CEL light when you turn on the key? Any smoke from the tailpipe while cranking? How's the oil level in the truck? You never mentioned if you get a tach reading while cranking.
