I got a Bunn Model BT10-B coffee maker. Someone told me you can only make 10 cups with this Model, can't make less. Before I open the box, does anyone have one of the Bunn home use Coffee maker and is this true?
We have one at work. It holds water in reserve and if you pour in less water you will still get a full pot, and the next pot you make will be the half pot. I am not sure of the exact model but I googled the model number you posted and it looks just like the one at work.
I have the Bun coffee maker that looks like that, but it is white and a different carafe..
I have used it for years..
I used to make a full pot with 4 scoops of coffee and add a full pitcher of water..
Now I have cut back and use 2 scoops of coffee and 3/4 a pitcher of water.. It works out fine..
The only problem I find is if you do not drink much coffee then the water in the resevior evaporates.. When you then make afull pot you will not get a full pot and need to add more water..
I believe it puts out as much water as you put in..
I use a 16oz Dunkin Donuts cup. When I make a full pot I end up with 2 cups of coffee..

We had a Bunn but it never seemed to make a decent pot of coffee to me or my wife. I always thought that it made coffee too fast and more than a few times, we would wind up with coffee grounds in the pot.
We then went with a Mister Coffee....better tasting coffee than the Bunn but my wife wanted one that dispenses one cup at a time. It's a pain in the rear to use as far as making coffee so we went back to the Mr. Coffee maker.
Nothing beats the aroma and taste of a stove-top pot that perks the coffee!

Thanks for the replies, I got a Factory reconditioned one at half the price. If I open the box it's mine, unless it fails under the full warranty.
Used the Black and Decker thermal Carafe coffee makers for years. The last one I got, what a piece of junk, lid broke first month, also the basket valve keeps falling apart. Had to give up on the Auto part, would make coffee in the middle of the night, it likes dumping coffee on the counter. Even though they still sell them, parts aren't availible.
This review, leads me to believe that the machine is indeed designed to make full pots at a time on a consistent basis, but the person reviewing has been making partial pots by consistently only adding a partial carafe of water. This is a nice coffee pot and if it were me, I would just make the whole pot and drink whatever I drink out of it. But again, coffee is my drink of choice and what I drink most day until 7 in the evening in which my beverage becomes Guiness or other variation of brewski.
That's what we had Bigdaddy, although an older model. While it made hot coffee, it just never tasted right to us as well as after a while, it started to leak water. My wife had an older model Bunn similar to our "new" one that also started to leak.
We always made a full pot and drank what we wanted, threw out the rest

I have that model. You do not have to make a full pot. We make 6 cups on most mornings. Yes, it holds hot water in reserve at all times. But if you put in 6 cups, it pushes out 6 cups. It's just gravity feed. It is true that if you don't use it every day it will evaporate some water. If we don't make coffee over a weekend because we are out of town or something, we have to add a couple cups extra water the next time we use it. It has an extra switch to turn off the heat to the resevoir. You would NOT want to leave it turned on if you were on vacation for a couple of weeks.
I love that pot. Would never go back to one that perked, like a Mr. Coffee.
The only other downside I can think of is that you can't use it with a timer. You cannot put the water in until you are ready to brew.
That reviewer, brianth, is an idiot. None of what he/she says is correct.
