I noticed the same thing last year on a number of links I had posted for reference & began to fuss about it this time last year, got feedback that it would be looked into, but so far no fixes yet!!!!
Maybe if enough of us would PM our moderators, it would carry enough weight that the message would get through up to where it needs, to cause something positive to happen.
