Ignition control module question

Have 88 BII, 2.9ltr. Got a new Ignition Control Module and messed around and lost the little grease packet that comes with it. Ya supposed to spread it it out over the back of the thing to help dissipate the heat. Question: Will Valvoline Wheel Bearing Grease work or does it absolutely have to be DIELECTRIC TYPE GREASE? If not that means i gotta drive 20 miles back to town as i live out in the "sticks". THANKS!!!

Yes, it has to be Dielectric grease. The purpose of it is to help transfer heat from the module. I think wheel bearing grease would probably have the opposite effect and serve to insulate it instead, which would result in an overheated and burned up module.

Have you replaced any spark plug wires lately? They usually come with a small packet of dielectric grease as well, and most folks don't bother to use it. Maybe you've still got some lying around...
