i have been looking into head studs for some time and have decided what to go with but have no idea the cost of installation. if someone could give me a ball park range of the cost it would be a huge help. thank you

texans is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Depens on the shop. If you go to ford be ready for $4000 +. A good diesel shop will do it for $2000-$4000. I have heard of people getting it done for less. But that range seems to be the norm.

To get it done right your looking somewhere between 2500 to 3000 in labor.

Just had mine replaced and it was under warranty and the approx cost was 3Gs. Also had the EGR cooler, oil cooler and turbo internals replaced, and most recently the icp sensor. My tech initially said the heads were approx 2500 to 3, and from the looks of things during the teardown I can see why. It was insane, they had the truck in a million pieces. Go with the ARPs by the way, then a coolant filter.
