200 miles ago, the Check Engine Light came on, and I got a P0404 and 0405 code, which I just cleared as everything is fine.
Today, driving fully warmed up (10 miles after start), suddenly, the engine lost power (as if the turbo was not boosting), and the Check Engine Light came on again.
I drove it to a parking lot (with noticeable loss of power) even though once I stopped, it seem to have reved fine in neutral.
Stopped the engine, restarted it after 20 minutes of shopping....
Check engine light is still on....
Started engine, and the bogging / loss of power was GONE!
Read the codes at home as P0404 and P0405 (2 instances of each).
Here is my hypothesis:
a) did some carbon get stuck in the EGR valve or the turbocharger or both?
b) did it fix itself (carbon got dislodged from whatever it is jamming)?
Those are egr codes sonds like you have a problem with the egr valve. Migh want to pull it and clean it up. There is a good write up on it in the tech folder

most likly carbon hung the valve pull valve and look in side intake. if its pack you have a few options.
1)new intake.
2) remove yours and send it out and have it hot tanked.
also is you have to take it off look inside the egr cooler if its packed then that will need to be replaced or deleted. if yoy do so it is highly recomened to reman the oil cooler
