windows and trim

I installed new side windows in my truck this weekend. I ordered new glass from LMC and ordered the anti rattle strips that go on the window opening and the trim that goes around the back half of the window channel but not a new division bar (mine seemed okay) from Dennis Carpenter.

I installed the trim and windows and now it is extremely hard to roll up the window and when I try to use the crank to roll the window down the glass comes out of the track. I looked at alignment of division bars on both doors and it seems okay. tried silicone lube (very very liberal amount) with no luck. If I move the windows with my hands it goes up and down smoothly but just very tight and hard to do.

Any ideas on what I can do?

I had the the same problem with my windows after I replaced the glass and installed new anti-rattle trim. What I ended up doing was disconnecting the lower track from the rollers so the window would drop down into the door, removed the lower felts and enlarged the window opening in the door.In my case I think the truck had been without the window trim for too many years and the repeated door slamming caused the window opening to close up. If you have a new paint job use care enlarging the opening so you don't chip the paint. You can use a wooden wedge or something similar to spread the window opening.
