John's "parting out" demo and cookout

Just a thank you to John (jowilker) for the invite yesterday. It was good to meet him and see his extensive collection of trucks and truck parts. I also got to meet Steve (slikness) who has been a tremendous help in the mods I've been doing on my truck. Also got to meet Dave and Tim from Pa, two super nice guys with lots of good ideas about Ford trucks. A special thanks to John's wife for dinner. Yeah John I know you cooked the burgers but as good as those baked beans were......had to have a woman's touch. To all who missed it, you missed a good time and great fellowship. Looking forward to more of these John. Lemme know if I can help ya destroy that van.

Ron

Thanks for the kind words, I knew 35 years ago that woman was worth having around, I'll pass along the kudos.
I spent a few hours on the van today, I pulled the radio, delay wiper switch, headlight switch, all those curtousy lights, and started on the power door locks. It'll take several days to knock it out. I can use an extra hand when I pull the engine and tranny. I'll take the sawsall to it to help with the extraction.

Unfortunately I will have lots of time on my hands next week. Due to the slow economy we're closing the plant all week. So if you're gonna be doing any of that then just gimme a holler or email or something. Not much I'd rather do than work on a truck. Well.....at least with my clothes on. LOL
