Fluid for Meyers plow?

I've read that their fluid is very expensive, and I need to refill a Meyers plow pump. I've read that people have used ATF, AW32, regular 10wt hydraulic oil, and aircraft hydraulic oil. I'd like to get a long-term opinion on using an alternative oil, I just don't want to be blamed for killing this thing.

ATF + gas line antifreeze 10% to thin will not ruin anything.

i only use Meyer fluid. it is $4.99 /qt at napa near me.

others i know use dextron and say they have no problems, but i know of one guy who uses dextron atf and every once in a while his pump will freeze in really cold temps cause he don't change the fluid every year and it gets water in it.

another thing to remember, Meyers fluid is non foaming. ATF is not..
