2005 Expedition 6 disc changer problems

I have a problem with my 6 disc in dash changer in my 05 Expedition. I removed all the CD's from the unit a week or two ago and was going to reload some different CDs Saturday. When I pushed the load button and then selected the slot number I wanted the CD to go to it said Load Error. So I proceded to try all of them same thing Load Error. Easy fix or time for a new CD player? I did a search and found some other people that have had problems with the 6 disc changer but didn't sound like the same problem.
